The Little Shuttlers Programme

Launching September 2026 at SAFRA Toa Payoh (Level 2, Multi-Purpose Hall).

The Little Shuttlers Programme at Eagles @ SAFRA Toa Payoh is our flagship year-round development course. It features an ongoing, comprehensive curriculum divided into four 12-week terms per year.

Whether your child is a 4-year-old exploring badminton for the very first time or an older beginner aiming for upcoming school team or CCA trials, our structured system provides continuous development in the sport. We conduct a formal progress assessment at the end of each 12-week term, giving parents clear insight into their child's milestones on and off the court.

Frequently Asked Questions

Class Logistics & Absences

What should my child wear and bring to class?

Students should arrive in comfortable sports attire and non-marking indoor court shoes. • New sign-ups: You will receive your Free Eagles T-Shirt and Shorts set during your first week! • Equipment: Please bring a standard-sized badminton racket, hand towel and a water bottle (~750ml). We provide all training shuttlecocks and other equipment as needed. • Girls: Please ensure that your hair is tied in a single ponytail or bun. Avoid double ponytails as it may interfere with the racket swing.

What time should we arrive at the venue?

Our classes start on time. Please arrive at the Multi-Purpose Hall 10 minutes before your scheduled class to allow time for wearing shoes and a short warm-up. For more information, please refer to the Eagles Handbook available in the Eagles Badminton app.

What happens if my child misses a training session?

Consistent practice is the key to progress! However, if your child is unwell or has a schedule conflict, simply inform us at least 24 hours prior via WhatsApp. We will gladly arrange a makeup session for your child in an alternative time slot within the same 12-week term block. On that note, please be gently informed that last-minute cancellations are not allowed and makeup sessions will not be arranged under such circumstances.

Term Assessments & Progress Tracking

How do the 12-week assessments work?

We believe in purposeful progression. During Week 12 of every term, our coaches conduct a structured in-class assessment. For the younger Eaglets (Ages 4–6), this focuses on motor skills, coordination, and tracking. For the Rising Eagles (Ages 7–12), we evaluate core technical strokes, movement patterns, and game rules.

Will I receive feedback after the assessment?

Yes! Following the assessment, every student receives an official Eagles Progress Report Card through the Eagles Badminton app. This breaks down their technical badminton competencies and evaluates their development across our 5 Core Character Values (Integrity, Perseverance, Excellence, Knowledge, and Respect).

What happens if my child passes or needs more time at their current stage?

Our ongoing curriculum is designed to support long-term development. If a student meets their age-bracket milestones, they will progress to advanced skill sets within the next term's syllabus. If they need more time to master the basics, our low 1:6 coach-to-student ratio allows us to tailor the next term's drills to their specific pace — ensuring no child is left behind.

Term Renewals & Re-registration

Is enrolment automatic for the next term?

Because we partner with SAFRA Toa Payoh, registrations are handled securely on a term-by-term basis via the SAFRA Mobile App. To retain your child's preferred day and time slot, you will need to re-register before the new term begins.

When does registration open for the next term?

Priority registration usually opens for existing students in Week 8 of the current term. We will send out an alert via our official WhatsApp (8025 9739) with the exact dates so you can log onto the SAFRA Mobile App and secure your slot before bookings open to the public.
